Mr. Wolkstein has been a practicing attorney in the State of New
Jersey since 1967. His practice is devoted to general litigation
with specialization in family law issues. Mr. Wolkstein received
his B.A. at Rutgers University and graduated Rutgers University
with his L.L.B. in 1967. He received his Certification as a
mediator from the Institute for Dispute Resolution at Seton Hall
University Law School in 1996.
Mr. Wolkstein is a past member of the New Jersey State Bar
Association Family Law Section Executive Committee as well as
the District IX Ethics Committee. Mr. Wolkstein has served as a
panelist with the Early Settlement Program, Matrimonial Division,
in Union County since its inception. He is a past member of the
Union County Family Law Committee, of which he served as
Chairman for six years. He has served as President of the Union
County Mental Health Association. Mr. Wolkstein is a former
President of the Union County Bar Association. He is also a past
Trustee of the Union County Bar Association. Mr. Wolkstein has
been a member of the Negligence Arbitration Panel, Superior
Court of New Jersey and member of the Panel of Arbitrators,
American Arbitration Association.
Mr. Wolkstein’s Bar Admissions include: New Jersey State Bar;
United States District Court, New Jersey; U.S. Supreme Court
and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.
He was named a New Jersey “Super Lawyer” in Family Law in
2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 and received the William
J. McCloud Award for excellence in his practice of Family Law in
2007. Mr. Wolkstein also enjoys an AV (the highest) rating in the
Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory.
